In short
- Bookman helps learner drivers in England, Scotland and Wales find an earlier car driving test at the centres they choose.
- You pick an available test and Bookman fills in your details on DVSA’s website, ready for you to check and confirm.
- Bookman is made by PALORA LABS LTD, a small company in London.
Why we built it
Learners wait a long time for a driving test. DVSA’s own figures put the typical wait at 11.1 weeks from booking to test in July 2026, and much longer at some centres.
Earlier tests do come up when other learners cancel or move theirs. Finding one has meant going back to GOV.UK again and again.
The rules changed in 2026 too: how many times you can change a test, which centres you can move to, and who can book for you. We wanted one place that shows what’s available, explains the rules plainly, and leaves every decision with you.
How Bookman works
- Choose your test centres and your preferred date: 1 centre on the free plan, up to 5 with Premium.
- Pick an available test. Bookman fills in your details on DVSA’s website.
- Check the details and confirm the booking yourself. Your confirmation email comes from DVSA.
DVSA’s rules for changing a test are in our FAQs, with links to GOV.UK.
